Pharmacology

When the chemicals are combined, they form an antidepressant, anxiolytic, and activating formulation. Flupentixol and melitracen achieve their maximum blood concentrations in around 4 hours after oral dosing.Flupentixol has a biological half-life of 35 hours while melitracen has a biological half-life of 19 hours. The pharmacokinetic characteristics of flupentixol and melitracen do not appear to be influenced by their combination.
Dosage
Adults: Usually 2 tablets orally daily in the morning and noon. In severe cases, the morning dose may be increased to 2 tablets.
Elderly patients: 1 tablet in the morning.
